About Beechwood Lodge in Manapouri, Fiordland New Zealand.

About us Fiordland captured out hearts a decade ago as we searched for a place to build our lodge. And we
found what we were looking for: unspoiled wilderness, native forests, beautiful rivers and mountain views.
Hospitality is now our way of life after career changes from teaching and healthcare. Michael is an English
Teacher and I'm a Registered Nurse.

The outdoor life and love of travel has taken us to many places to live and work: Tonga, Hong Kong, Chile,
France, USA, Argentina, Costa Rica, UK and the Middle East.

We built the lodge in 2000
using environmentally
friendly materials and as
light a footprint as possible.

Eco-friendly practices and
cleaning products are used
to ensure an allergen free
and "healthy house."
